Limed Oak has been produced for hundreds of years and traditionally the finish was achieved by covering the Oak with a lime mortar. The lime bleaches the Oak and this turns it white. The Ted Todd limed Oak differs in that we gently sand the board after liming to reveal the natural Oak inbetween the limed grain. This achieves a soft, pastel appearance. The limed board is finished with a matt anti-scratch Ted Todd lacquer which contains metal additives designed to enhance the wear performance of the surface.
