House Tour: Edwardian Property in Golders Green

By 12th November 2018

This Edwardian property in Golders Green was recently featured on George Clarke’s Old House, New Home on Channel 4.

Originally filled with 1970’s wood panelling and loud carpets and wallpaper, the home underwent a complete refurbishment earlier this year.

The homeowners approached us for their wood flooring, and chose Furrow planks from our Warehouse Collection for its warm and varied tone. Furrow is full of character, with lots of knots and a beautifully undulating surface. The boards are brushed to add texture, and are finished with a durable hardened oil, perfect for homes with kids (and pets!).

The highlight of this beautiful home is arguably the kitchen, which is a large multifunctional living and dining area. Light floods the space, filtering through skylights and large steel framed glass doors that lead to the garden.

Pale blue walls create a neutral background palette, which allows the brighter, darker blue of the kitchen cabinets to be the focus of the space.

Antique style pieces such as the dining room table, brown leather chesterfield sofa and traditional middle eastern rugs are offset with modern gold accents and greenery, which add a luxurious touch.
