For the last 25 years we’ve been crafting and creating wood floors for interior projects across the world. One thing we never forget is that the purpose of all our efforts is to produce wood floors that work for you – whether you’re after a floor that blends seamlessly into the background, or one that makes a design statement.
Not only is wood flooring one of the most environmentally friendly surface coverings, it also brings an irrefutable warmth to interiors. Wood flooring brings nature indoors not only through its appearance but also through its smell and texture.
The latter part of 2018 was dedicated to the development of our new wood floors. In January we added seven new herringbone wood floors to our Crafted Textures, Project and Classic Tones collections, satisfying the increased demand for engineered parquet wood floors.
Why choose a herringbone floor?
Herringbone wood floors have been a consistently popular trend in both residential and commercial projects after coming back into vogue in the 1990s. The herringbone pattern dates back millennia to when Romans used the herringbone pattern to create more stable road paving systems.
Parquet flooring today has become synonymous with chic and stylish interiors, creating flow in challenging spaces. Our herringbone wood floors are the perfect marriage of great craftsmanship and sustainably sourced wood, adding texture and pattern to projects worldwide.
Five new Project herringbones
The clean, neutral tones of our Project collection floors are now available in the ever-popular herringbone design. Five tones from Project have been showcased as herringbones; Calico, Tattenhall, Caramel, Almond and Petworth.
Our Project collection is affordable, versatile and undeniably chic, these durable and easy to maintain floors are a true Ted Todd staple.
Introducing Kielder herringbone to Classic Tones
Crafted from slow grown European Oak, our Kielder herringbone is a timeless classic that will only get better with age.
New to Crafted Textures
Inspired by the natural wear and tear of wood, deep and shallow saw marks have been made across Rydal’s herringbone blocks, adding depth and texture to the wood.
Rydal is the first herringbone floor to be introduced to our Crafted Textures collection. All the floors in Crafted Textures were created using sustainably sourced new wood yet emulate the look of a reclaimed wood floor through the saw marks made across the timber.
