Can’t Find The Floor You’re Looking For?

By 13th January 2017

woodworks - editions - otisAs you may already know, we recently merged Victorian Woodworks and Ted Todd handmade floors into a single offering called Woodworks by Ted Todd.

One of the reasons was to simplify how you choose your floor.

So what’s changed?

Ted Todd continues to offer our much-loved, readily available floors that previously appeared in our grey ‘hardwood flooring’ brochure. These 8 collections haven’t changed too much, but we have renamed our Fine Woods collection ‘Signature Solids’ and we have moved some of our Patterns & Panels floors over to Woodworks by Ted Todd.

Woodworks by Ted Todd offer beautifully restored pieces of history, rare finds and exceptional new wood floors that are handcrafted in our Cheshire workshops. They are the heirloom floors of the future, for you to enjoy now.

Woodworks offer what were previously our Ted Todd handmade collections, along with our Victorian Woodworks antique and reclaimed floors and wall cladding. This means that our Urbanist, Residence, Artisan and Plancher Du Quercy floors have all moved into Woodworks, along with some of our Patterns & Panels collection.

Below you can find a full list of which collections our floors are in, and where you can find them.

If you are a specifier, interior designer, architect or creative professional, you can find all of our floors in one place here.

Shou sugi ban is the traditional Japanese process of charring wood to produce deep, silvery tones. The process is painstakingly intricate – using reclaimed pieces, our expert craftsmen produce simple planks, geometric squares or more complex circular designs. The results are statement masterpieces.

Rare Finds

(Reclaimed woods)

True one-offs – small batches of wood floors, each with a story that is intertwined with the rise of the great English cities. We’ve sourced wood that was brought in from former colonies to feed the growth of an industrial Britain. Wood that had already been around for hundreds of years before it arrived, and having served its time in warehouses and public spaces has now been lovingly restored. As each find a new home, a new adventure begins.
