Inside Sally Bee’s Nutrilicious café: Kentish herringbone at Hoar Cross Hall Kentish Herringbone was selected for the main dining area of Sally Bee’s Staffordshire café. Its warm, light-brown oak, skip-sawn texture and hand-rolled edges sit beneath relaxed seating areas designed for an inviting dining experience. Woodworks by Ted Todd was commissioned to supply a wood floor for the Nutrilicious dining area. Woodworks is our sister brand, specialising in extraordinary modern and historic wood floors, handmade panels and bespoke architectural details, developed and made in its Cheshire workshops. Following consultation, our commercial team recommended Kentish Herringbone from the Urban collection.

Best-selling health food writer Sally Bee selected the Woodworks Urban collection for her Nutrilicious café at Hoar Cross Hall in Staffordshire. The dining experience was developed around nutritious food served within a warm and welcoming setting.

Woodworks by Ted Todd was commissioned to supply the floor for the main dining area. Woodworks is our sister brand, specialising in extraordinary modern and historic wood floors, handmade panels and bespoke architectural details, developed and made in its Cheshire workshops.

Following consultation with our commercial team, Kentish Herringbone was selected for its warm, light-brown colouring and characterful surface. The established herringbone pattern introduces movement across the dining area, while the oak’s natural grain and hand-worked texture remain clearly visible.

Each nature-grade European oak block is skip-sawn by hand to develop its scratched, grainy surface. Hand-rolled edges add further definition, and a super-matt Naked Skin Lacquer protects the timber within the busy café environment.

Kentish is available in several plank widths, herringbone and chevron formats. It can also be combined with complementary tones from the Urban collection to develop bespoke floor layouts.

Kentish up close

Kentish Herringbone is made from nature-grade European oak with a warm, natural tone. Its worn skip-sawn texture is made by hand, with hand-rolled edges defining each block. The 100mm by 500mm blocks are 20mm thick with a 6mm wear layer, a super-matt Naked Skin Lacquer and FSC certification.
