About Downham
Downham is an unfinished European oak chevron block, bringing a strong geometric pattern to both traditional and contemporary spaces. Made from nature grade oak, each block features natural grain variation, knots and sap. Carefully sanded for a smooth, consistent surface, Downham is available in 15mm or 20mm thicknesses and can be refinished to suit your chosen look. FSC® certified and suitable for underfloor heating. The 15mm option can also be used for wall cladding.

Our most commonly used wood species due to its strength and durability. Sourced from cooler climates to encourage slower growth, meaning tighter growth with straight grain and unique knot structure.

Our most popular grade due to its natural look, celebrating organic features such as knots, irregular grain pattern and closed heartwood. Occasional lighter sapwood of up to 30% of the boards.

Traditionally planed and fine sanded to create a flat, even surface. The result is a clean, polished appearance that focuses on the grain pattern and wood tones.
