Prime grade is Ted Todd’s most refined wood grade. It is selected for a clean, consistent appearance with minimal natural features. A limited number of small knots and black pin knots may be present, along with occasional lighter sapwood at the board edges. The result is a calmer surface that still retains the grain and natural variation of real timber. Wider boards may display more features than narrower formats.

Engineered construction uses a real hardwood wear layer supported by additional timber layers. Yes. Prime grade floors are available in herringbone and chevron formats, as well as planks, geometric patterns and parquet panels. The restrained markings allow the geometry and direction of the pattern to remain clearly defined.
