About Malting
Malting is a dark European oak floor with deep brown tones, expressive grain and a softly undulating texture. The 190mm wide planks reach up to 1.9 metres in length, creating a strong, flowing surface shaped by the knots, sapwood and natural colour variation of nature-grade timber. Each board is brushed to bring the grain into focus, with softened micro-bevelled edges adding to its tactile character. A durable Matt Lacquer finish provides practical wear and splash resistance while maintaining the floor’s understated appearance. Malting has a 15mm three-layer engineered construction with a 4mm wear layer. It is FSC®-certified, maintained with Care System 1 and is not suitable for wall cladding.

Engineered for strength, stability and enduring beauty
- 01
European Oak
Our most commonly used wood species due to its strength and durability. Sourced from cooler climates to encourage slower growth, meaning tighter growth with straight grain and unique knot structure.
- 02
Nature grade
Our most popular grade due to its natural look, celebrating organic features such as knots, irregular grain pattern and closed heartwood. Occasional lighter sapwood of up to 30% of the boards.
- 03
Undulating Texture
Crafted with a gentle irregular surface and rounded 'pillow' edges, adding natural movement across the floor. Inspired by antique wood, the undulating surface celebrates the character developed through age.
- 04
3 Layer Engineered
An engineered construction consisting of 3 layers, a hardwood top, and softwood core and base layer. The core is laid perpendicular to the top, while the base further stabilises the board for added strength and durability.
