Colour and geometry are layered over Cashmere Chevron in Greenwich Village This carefully curated New York apartment uses Cashmere Chevron to connect Jo Hamilton’s achromatic palette, geometric detailing and characterful architectural features. Ted Todd was asked to identify a light-toned chevron floor for Jo Hamilton’s Greenwich Village project. The chosen timber needed to work alongside a restrained colour scheme, strong geometry and carefully selected design details. We supplied Cashmere Chevron, crafted from slow-grown European oak. Its pale colouring softens the apartment’s sharper lines and darker accents, while the chevron pattern continues the sense of movement established through Hamilton’s use of shape and proportion.

Famed for its narrow tree-lined streets and brick townhouses, Greenwich Village is widely regarded as New York’s bohemian capital. This apartment injects luxury into the village through its carefully curated colour scheme and architectural details, each element has been thoughtfully carried out.
We were approached to specify a light toned, chevron wood floor for the project and supplied our slow-grown European Oak Cashmere chevron wood floor. Our Cashmere chevron anchors the space, providing a neutral base for Hamilton’s achromatic colour scheme, geometric patterns and characterful details.
