PUTTING SUSTAINABILITY AT THE HEART OF EVERY FLOOR & PROJECT
Since we began manufacturing wood floors in 1993, we’ve been driven by a commitment to the environment. As our workshops grew, our ethos remained the same – to create great looking wood floors without compromising on sustainability.
We ensured we were environmentally accredited from the beginning. When we started crafting new wood floors in 1997 we became one of the first companies in Europe to be fully FSC™ certified.
Now more than ever, creating safety and sanctuary in homes and shared spaces can be achieved with conscious choices, allowing us to enhance our connection with nature, protect the environment and improve health and wellbeing from the ground up.
OUR COMMITMENT TO SUSTAINABILITY
- We will continue to provide long life products that will stand the test of time.
- Design and make floors that have a minimal environmental impact.
- Provide carbon negative solutions as standard.
- We aim to use only independently certified new woods with the target of supplying 100% certified new woods over the next few years.
- Reclaim and re-purpose previously used wood for 20% of our sales.
- Heat our factories with wood waste generated in our own manufacturing processes.
- Develop natural fibre alternatives to LVT and other petrochemical-based floors.
- Create healthy environments inside your homes, places of work, and leisure venues.
HELPING YOU FEEL GOOD IN YOUR HOME, AT WORK AND IN OUR COMMUNITY SPACES
All our wood floors are natural, are 100% SVOC free and have low VOC’s.
The long-term serious exposure to chemicals used in the manufacturing process of products used in our homes and commercial spaces is not yet fully understood. However, preliminary research into the effects of indoor air quality has confirmed that inside pollutants do exist and have a negative effect on people’s health.
