About Swinley
Swinley Extra Wide Plank is a light, rustic European oak floor with the character of aged timber. The 220mm boards are planed and heavily distressed, with broken edges that bring texture and definition to the grain, knots and natural colour variation of nature-grade oak. Lengths reach up to 2.2 metres, creating a broad, open surface with a relaxed reclaimed feel. Its 20mm engineered construction includes a substantial 6mm wear layer, while matt Burnished Hardwax Oil enhances the timber and provides lasting protection. Swinley is UKTR-certified, suitable for underfloor heating and should be maintained with Care System 2.

Engineered for strength, stability and enduring beauty
- 01
European Oak
Our most commonly used wood species due to its strength and durability. Sourced from cooler climates to encourage slower growth, meaning tighter growth with straight grain and unique knot structure.
- 02
Nature grade
Our most popular grade due to its natural look, celebrating organic features such as knots, irregular grain pattern and closed heartwood. Occasional lighter sapwood of up to 30% of the boards.
- 03
Distressed
Distressed wood floors introduce rich character and an aged appearance. Each board is crafted using techniques like hand scraping and planing to create broken edges and indentations that replicate naturally worn timber.
- 04
2 Ply Engineered - 100% Hardwood
Multi-ply engineered core delivers stability across temperature and humidity changes — suitable above underfloor heating.
- 05
UKTR Compliant
All our timbers are sourced in compliance with UK legislation and laws of its country of origin, meaning every tree can be traced back.
- 06
30 year warranty
Backed by our 30 year structural warranty when installed and maintained to Ted Todd specification.
