About Tollense
Tollense is an unfinished prime grade European oak herringbone block with clean, square shoulder edges and a generous 100mm width. Made from carefully selected oak, each block has a uniform appearance with subtle knots, sap and tonal variation. Carefully sanded for a smooth, consistent surface, Tollense provides a clean base for your choice of custom finish. FSC® certified and suitable for underfloor heating. Not suitable for wall cladding.

European Oak
Our most commonly used wood species due to its strength and durability. Sourced from cooler climates to encourage slower growth, meaning tighter growth with straight grain and unique knot structure.

Prime grade
Minimal natural features, showing a limited amount of small knots and black pin knots, with occasional lighter sapwood to the edges. Wider formats tend to show more features than narrow designs.

Smooth
Traditionally planed and fine sanded to create a flat, even surface. The result is a clean, polished appearance that focuses on the grain pattern and wood tones.
