About Vienne
Vienne is an unfinished solid European oak herringbone block, defined by its clean, uniform appearance and minimal natural character. Made from prime grade oak, each block features subtle grain detail with minimal knots, sap and tonal variation. Carefully sanded for a smooth, consistent surface, Vienne provides a clean base for your choice of custom finish. Available in three sizes to suit different project requirements. FSC® certified. Not suitable for underfloor heating or wall cladding.

European Oak
Our most commonly used wood species due to its strength and durability. Sourced from cooler climates to encourage slower growth, meaning tighter growth with straight grain and unique knot structure.

Prime grade
Minimal natural features, showing a limited amount of small knots and black pin knots, with occasional lighter sapwood to the edges. Wider formats tend to show more features than narrow designs.

Smooth
Traditionally planed and fine sanded to create a flat, even surface. The result is a clean, polished appearance that focuses on the grain pattern and wood tones.

Solid Hardwood
Built from a single layer of wood in the desired thickness, creating the most substantial construction. Suitable to sand multiple times over it's lifetime.
