Bespoke reclaimed pine end grain for Ella Canta’s richly coloured Mayfair restaurant Chef Martha Ortiz’s restaurant at InterContinental London Park Lane combines deep, earthy colour with leather and richly detailed surfaces. A bespoke reclaimed pine end-grain floor introduces natural variation and a distinctive growth-ring pattern throughout the interior. The project team commissioned Woodworks by Ted Todd to make a bespoke reclaimed pine end-grain floor for Ella Canta. Woodworks is our sister brand, specialising in extraordinary modern and historic wood floors, handmade panels and bespoke architectural details, developed and made in its Cheshire workshops. The 15mm, two-ply engineered floor was made for the visual and practical requirements of a busy hotel restaurant.

Ella Canta brings the beauty, vibrancy and spirit of Mexico to Mayfair, not just to its menu, but to the décor too.
The project team commissioned Woodworks by Ted Todd to make a bespoke reclaimed pine end-grain floor for the restaurant.
The reclaimed timber’s earthy colouring and distinctive growth-ring pattern complement Ella Canta’s deep tones, soft leather and richly detailed surfaces.

Celestial up close
Celestial End Grain offers similar character in new European oak. Its cross-cut construction exposes the timber’s growth rings, forming an intricate pattern across a brushed, grey-toned surface. The 180mm format is 16mm thick, with a three-layer engineered construction and 4mm wear layer. A narrower 120mm format is available at 15mm thick. Celestial is finished with satin Burnished Hardwax Oil and is PEFC 70% certified.
