Nando's
Inside Nando’s Soho: a bespoke copper-leaf rhombi wood floor Brown and smoky-grey rhombi create the geometric pattern, punctuated by hand-applied copper leaf. STAC Architecture developed the composition for a Soho restaurant that also houses a recording studio for emerging musicians. Woodworks by Ted Todd was commissioned to develop and make the bespoke floor with STAC Architecture. Woodworks is our sister brand, specialising in extraordinary modern and historic wood floors, handmade panels and bespoke architectural details, developed and made in its Cheshire workshops. Our makers produced and hand-finished the individual elements in Cheshire, completing the floor within the project’s tight programme.

A bespoke geometric wood floor gives Nando’s Soho an immediate visual identity
The restaurant brings together its famous PERi-PERi chicken and their love for music; nestled downstairs is a recording studio that is available to emerging musicians.
Project Requirements
For this unique space, Nando’s commissioned a bespoke floor that combined rhombi in tones of brown and smoky grey, with accents of copper leaf. Brown and smoky-grey rhombi form the main pattern, punctuated by hand-applied copper leaf

Woodworks makers used Gaslamp from the Urban collection to combine brown and smoky-grey rhombi with copper-leaf accents, completing the 20mm, 2-ply engineered floor with Naked Skin Lacquer® within the project’s tight programme.
