Wood floor restoration

WOODWORKS HUB

Woodworks flooring has new and reclaimed origins from across the globe.

We source the very best pine, oak, walnut and more and set about transforming them into a Woodworks floor.

The work that is carried out in our English workshops also plays a massive part in making these floors special.

Each of our wood floors is worked on by hand, undergoing a number of intricate techniques that we have built up over the past decades.

Here you will find information about these methods and the woods with which we work.

RECLAIMED HERITAGE

Reclamation is at the heart of what we do

Reclaimed wood flooring comes in many many different wood species. As our built heritage in the United Kingdom spans many centuries and during this time woods have been imported from almost every part of the world.

Maple from Canada, Oak, Pitch Pine and Douglas Fir from North America, Jarrah from Australia, Iroko, Sapele and Wenge from Africa to name just a few.

RECLAIMED PINE

Reclaimed from historical sites across the globe

Reclaimed Pine flooring can be crafted from wood retrieved from all manner of different places. This can include woods from recently built structures. Wood from these spaces tends to be fast grown spruce or pine from Scandinavia.

The most sought after pine material comes from historic buildings and structures from the 19th century. This is where the far oldest pines that originated from North America are found…

OUR HANDCRAFTED AGED WOOD

Celebrating subtle imperfections

We approach making our Aged wood floors in very much the same way that we would restore an antique floor.

Every board is worked by hand and is totally unique. We understand each board and block and we work it so that we make the most of its features.

From the knots, cracks and residual saw marks, no two pieces of this floor are alike. These are floors that celebrate the beauty of imperfections.
