A GUIDE TO OUR PRE-FINISHED WOOD FLOORS
All of our pre-finished floors are fully finished, saving you time and money when it comes to installation. From lacquer to oil based, matt to satin sheen, our finishes help protect your hardwood floor from damage.
There are also important aesthetic outcomes to consider as almost all our finishes will change the tone of a floor in some way, so understanding their characteristics is important.

ABSOLUTE MATT LACQUER®
A revolutionary lacquer from Ted Todd. Absolute Matt Lacquer® combines a super matt 3% sheen with high levels of durability and stain resistance. A lacquer-based finish with truly natural characteristics. New to the Project collection this Autumn.
SATIN LACQUER
Our high performance 6 Coat lacquer-based finish provides a hard wearing & durable finish. We cure and sand between coats to form a high level of protection. It has a high reflective sheen and has a slightly glossy appearance.
PEARL LACQUER
An elegant high performance 6 coat lacquer-based finish that provides a hard wearing & durable finish. We cure and sand between coats to form a high level of protection. It has white undertones to provide an iridescent appearance.
HARDENED OIL
Hardened Oil works by firstly filling the pores of the wood with Natural Oil. After several applications, the pores of the wood have been filled. The final coats of Oil contain a light reactive additive which is cured to form a protective coating. The protective coating is water resistant and dirt repellent.
HARDENED LACQUER
This finish works by firstly filling the pores of the wood with Lacquer. After several applications, the pores of the wood have been filled. The final coats of Lacquer contain a light reactive additive which is cured to form a protective coating. The protective coating is water resistant and dirt repellent.
DOUBLE SATIN LACQUER
Our 12-coat applied lacquer-based finish provides a super hard wearing & durable, anti-scratch finish. It is suitable for high traffic applications. We fully cure and sand between coats to form the highest levels of protection. It has a mid-sheen appearance and has high levels of reflection.
MATT LACQUER
A high performance 6 coat lacquer-based finish that provides a hard wearing and durable finish. We cure and sand between coats to form a high level of protection. It has minimal reflective sheen and has a subtle appearance.
BURNISHED HARDWAX OIL
A durable, natural finish that combines oils to deeply penetrate the wood’s pores. Slowly build up for maximum protection. Reflects light well and emphasises natural grain. Our Hardwax Oils are a regenerative finish: clean & re-apply to regenerate.
ORGANIC OILS
Organic oil penetrates deep into the pores of the wood. This restricts dirt from penetrating deep into the grain. Very little oil is left as a residue on the surface of your floor, and this creates a natural feel. These oils emphasise the wood’s grain and natural characteristics. Our Organic Oils are a regenerative finish: clean & re-apply to regenerate.
UNFINISHED
Floors supplied without any finish, allowing you to select a finish to be applied once laid and sanded within your project. Unfinished floors can also be specified for highly complex patterns as site finishing is recommended. Woodworks a variety of finishes from super matt to high gloss offering maximum protection.
