Project Type - Residential
Location - Devon

Sitting in the beautiful bright county of Devon is Beechwood, a private residency designed to utilise the Southern sun to the maximum. By using light coloured Cashmere chevron throughout the space, such manipulation was certainly achieved.

Cashmere is engineered using nature grade European oak which means there are knots, colour variation and sap present, with each chevron block being lightly brushed to reveal the natural grain detail hiding within. The result is a natural, clean, breathable flooring that will develop gracefully over the years.

By laying this floor beside full-length windows, the design team allowed the floor to shine impeccably, with the sun gushing into the room and highlighting the individual natural wonder each board holds.

Elsewhere, dark furnishings and details contrast the light backdrop, punctuating the design with powerful lines and strong architectural details.

Chevron wood floor

Light colours age well as you slowly build a patina with the finish getting warmer and warmer over the decades, holding comfort and a feeling of safety within your projects, and the same goes for Beechwood. This is a residency that will mature well overtime, and with light flooring at spine of the project, it is sure to always be on-trend and eye-catching too.
