Toast is an independent eatery and coffee house located in the heart of Altrincham. It’s a trendy hangout that offers a warm welcome, and its interior reflects this effortlessly.
The interior project was led by De Freitas Design and we were approached to supply the floor. The brief was that the floor was to be sympathetic to the existing building, while also making an impact.
The wood floor that was specified is Manor House from our Editions portfolio, with De Freitas commissioning a bespoke twist: instead of the traditional plank format, handmade herringbone blocks were specified.
Each Manor House block has been hand finished with burnished hardwax oil, which provides a long lasting and durable finish, a necessary requirement for high traffic establishments like Toast. The blocks are crafted from slow grown European Oak, and have wonderfully warm tones and a subtle grain.
